Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchens- Monthly

The Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen, diners will again be able to enjoy a taste of all three of chef Sid Sahrawat’s award-winning restaurants – SidartCassia and Sid at the French Café – under the one roof. 

Over the course of the evening, guests will get to see Sahrawat doing what he does best, as he and his team cook, plate and introduce each dish in a kitchen that has been newly fitted with a range of Gaggenau appliances. The kitchen is designed to be interactive so guests can come up to watch the chefs work on the appliances, ask questions and even help plate dishes.

The menu for the Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen will change each month as it delivers a taste of the cuisines available across the entire Sahrawat stable. Priced at $175 per person, the Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen includes canapés, the six feature dishes and the choice of a glass of champagne, Seedlip cocktail or beer on arrival, as well as Vittoria water and tea or coffee.

Dinner with Friends- Elemental Dinner

Acclaimed chef Sid Sahrawat is set to collaborate with friend and fellow multi award-winning chef, Ben Bayly. As part of the Elemental AKL Festival hosted by ATEED in October, the two night “Dinner with Friends” series will see the duo delivering a spectacular six-course tasting menu that celebrates New Zealand cuisine and where possible, using produce sourced from around the Auckland region.

Diners can expect a taste of each of the chefs’ signature restaurant styles. Sahrawat will bring modern New Zealand cuisine made using French techniques, while Bayly will deliver dishes from his new restaurant, Ahi.

“Dinner with Friends” will take place at Sid at The French Café on October 14-15. Tickets are priced at $250 per person, which includes six canapés and a six-course tasting menu. Each chef will be responsible for three canapés and three main dishes.  Some dietary requirements will be catered for – diners need to contact the restaurant to check before booking.
