The Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen is a monthly Test kitchen series offering innovative off menu dishes designed and delivered by chef Sid Sahrawat and his team.
Taking place on the first Tuesday of every month, February to November, diners wishing for a unique dining experience are invited to enjoy a taste of both of chef Sid’s award-winning restaurants –Cassia (modern Indian cuisine) and Sid at the French Café under the one roof.
The Test Kitchen concept is designed for Sid and his chefs to innovate new dishes and solicit feedback from diners. Three dishes from each restaurant will be prepared and served in The French Kitchen’s, the restaurant’s private dining room.
Over the course of the evening, guests will get to see Sid doing what he does best, as he and his team innovate, cook, plate and introduce each dish in the specially designed Gaggenau kitchen.
The dinner is designed to be interactive with guests welcome to watch and ask questions or simply enjoy the ambience of the room. Guests ('at level orange') are seated on communal tables with individual (not sharing) plates.
The menu for the Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen changes each month as it delivers a seasonal taste of the cuisines available across the two restaurants. Priced at $175 per person, the Gaggenau Tuesday Test Kitchen includes canapés, the six feature dishes and the choice of a glass of champagne, Seedlip cocktail or beer on arrival, as well as Vittoria water and tea or coffee.

The French Kitchen will open from 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start for each event. Tickets for each session are limited to just 30 guests.
Please note the Tuesday Test Kitchens are a ticketed event, you must have prepaid and bought a ticket through the link below. If you book using the reservations form you will be booking for a meal in the main dining room at Sid at The French Cafe which is operational at the same time for our usual Sid at The French Cafe dining experience.
