Sid at The French Café is a partnership between husband and wife team, Sid Sahrawat, executive chef and Chand Sahrawat operations manager. They are assisted by restaurant manager Craig Lovie, and Lesley Chandra, head chef.
Sid and Chand Sahrawat bought the iconic French Cafe in September 2018 from its previous owners. They intend to honour the more than 20 year old legacy handed over to them and maintain the high standards of food and service The French Cafe has become known for.
Sid at The French Cafe is an independently owned, family run business, just like Sid and Chand's other renowned restaurants Sidart and Cassia.
Craig has had over 25yrs experience in the hospitality industry, starting in Hotels at a young age, then progressing through to working for seven years at the iconic French Café. He also has experience working alongside Sid and Chand managing sister restaurant Cassia before he took over the reins again at Sid at The French Cafe.
Craig has always been passionate about good food and wine accompanied by excellent service, where he is hands on with the staff at Sid at The French Cafe to continue this high level of hospitality.
